How Much Does Google Ads Cost in Poland (2026 Guide)

How much does Google Ads cost in Poland? Plan on 1500 to 4000 zł a month in media spend, plus a management fee of roughly 500 to 2000 zł if someone runs it for you, and a one-off setup of 800 to 3000 zł. All in, a realistic start is 2500 to 6000 zł per month (about €580 to €1400). The click itself runs from 0.50 zł in cheap retail to 25 zł on a lawyer keyword, so your niche decides most of the bill.

I run Google Ads for small service businesses and shops, so here is the honest math: where the money goes, what the first three months really look like, and the point where it stops being a cost and turns into profit.

What you are actually paying for

"Google Ads costs X" hides three separate line items, and mixing them up is how people end up shocked by the invoice.

  • Media spend. The money that goes to Google, charged per click. You set it as a daily budget and it is the part you fully control.
  • Management. The fee for building, running, and optimizing the account - whether that is you, a freelancer, or an agency. Your own time is not free either.
  • One-off setup. Account structure, conversion tracking, keyword research, negative keyword lists, and a look at your landing page before the first zloty is spent. Usually 800 to 3000 zł.

Skip the setup and you save a few hundred zloty once, then lose it every month in wasted clicks. That is the most common way small budgets quietly bleed out.

What a click costs in Poland, by niche

Cost per click is an auction, so it swings with competition. Here is the realistic range on the Polish market in 2026.

NicheCPC (zł per click)Realistic cost per lead
E-commerce / retail0.50 - 2.5015 - 60 zł (or a direct sale)
Local services (salon, cleaning, tutoring)2 - 640 - 120 zł
Home repair / renovation3 - 1080 - 250 zł
Dentist / medical clinic5 - 1460 - 200 zł
Lawyer / legal8 - 25150 - 400 zł

Two things move you inside the range: how many competitors bid on the same keyword, and how relevant your ad and landing page are. Google rewards relevance with a lower price for the same position, so a sharp landing page literally cuts your cost per click.

A realistic monthly budget and how it splits

The honest minimum media budget is 1500 zł a month. Below that you get too few clicks for the algorithm to learn anything, and you will conclude "Google Ads does not work" when the real problem is starvation.

Who runs itManagement feeMin media budgetBest for
DIY (you run it)0 zł, paid in your time1500 zł+Simple niche, tight budget, time to learn
Freelancer / specialist500 - 1500 zł/mo, or 10-15% of spend2000 zł+Most small businesses
Agency1500 - 3500 zł/mo, or 15-20% of spend3000 - 4000 zł+Bigger budgets, several channels at once

DIY looks free but rarely is: the first months of self-teaching usually cost more in wasted clicks than a specialist's fee. A freelancer is the sweet spot for most local businesses - one person who builds the account, watches the numbers, and answers you directly. An agency earns its keep when the budget is large enough that a percentage fee buys real attention and you run several channels at once.

I set up and run Google Ads as part of my advertising service, tracking included, so you see cost per lead instead of just clicks.

The first three months: why month one is tuition

Google Ads is not a vending machine. The algorithm needs data before it spends well, and that data costs money. Here is what a normal ramp looks like.

  • Month 1 - learning. The account is gathering data on which searches, devices, and times actually convert. Cost per lead is at its highest and swings a lot. Expect to "waste" a chunk of the budget discovering which queries to block. This is tuition, not failure.
  • Month 2 - optimization. Now you cut the losing keywords, add negatives, shift budget toward what converts, and tighten the landing page. Cost per lead usually drops 20 to 40%.
  • Month 3 - stability. Cost per lead becomes predictable, and you can scale what works. Only now can you honestly say whether the channel pays.

It turns profitable the moment your cost per acquisition sits below your margin per customer. If a client is worth 1500 zł to you and costs 400 zł to acquire, you scale. If a 600 zł job costs 500 zł to win, the math is too tight and something upstream - the offer, the landing page, the niche - has to change. Judging the whole channel after two weeks is the single most expensive mistake I see.

Google Ads vs SEO, and when to skip ads entirely

Ads and SEO solve the same problem from opposite ends. Google Ads rents the top spot: instant traffic that stops the day you stop paying. SEO owns the spot: slow to build, but it keeps working without a meter running. Ads capture demand that already exists; SEO compounds over months.

Run Google Ads when people are already searching for what you sell and you need clients this month, when you want to test a market fast, or to cover seasonal peaks. Lean on SEO when you can wait a few months and want traffic that does not vanish once the card stops. Most businesses need both: ads for now, SEO for later.

Do not run Google Ads when:

  • Your landing page is broken or slow. Paid traffic magnifies every flaw. Sending clicks to a page that does not convert is paying to prove it does not convert.
  • You have no conversion tracking. More on this below, because it is the big one.
  • There is no search demand. If nobody types your product into Google, search ads have nothing to capture - that is a job for Meta, not Google.
  • Your margin cannot absorb the learning month. If one weak month sinks you, fix cash flow first.

Without conversion tracking, you are paying blind

This is what separates profitable accounts from expensive ones. If you cannot see which click became a lead and which lead became money, you are not managing ads, you are donating to Google.

The minimum before the first zloty goes out:

  • GA4 with real conversion events - a form sent, a call, a booking. Not "visited page".
  • Google Ads conversion tracking, plus imported offline conversions if you close deals by phone or in a CRM.
  • Call tracking, because service businesses get half their leads by phone and those are invisible otherwise.

Then every zloty is traceable to a result. On one project I paired the ads with a Telegram lead bot that catches and qualifies every incoming lead, so nothing bought with ad money slips through unanswered and each lead is tagged by source. That is the difference between "we spent 3000 zł" and "we spent 3000 zł and closed nine clients at 330 zł each".

FAQ

How much does Google Ads cost per month in Poland? A realistic all-in start is 2500 to 6000 zł a month: 1500 to 4000 zł in media spend, plus 500 to 2000 zł management if someone runs it, and a one-off setup of 800 to 3000 zł. The exact figure depends on your niche's cost per click and how many leads you want.

How much does one click cost in Google Ads? In Poland, from about 0.50 zł in cheap e-commerce to 25 zł on competitive lawyer and finance keywords. Local services sit around 2 to 6 zł, home repair 3 to 10 zł, medical 5 to 14 zł. Your niche and your ad relevance decide the price.

What is the minimum sensible budget? About 1500 zł a month in media for a single focused campaign. Below that the algorithm gets too little data to optimize and the test tells you nothing useful. If your budget is very small, put it all on one tight campaign rather than spreading it thin.

When does Google Ads become profitable? Usually from month three, once cost per lead settles and you have cut the wasteful queries. It is profitable when your cost per acquisition sits below your margin per customer. Month one is a learning phase, so do not judge the channel on it.

Google Ads or SEO - which should I choose? Google Ads for traffic now and to capture existing demand; SEO for traffic that compounds and does not stop when you stop paying. Ads rent the position, SEO owns it. Most businesses run ads for the short term and build SEO in parallel.

Do I really need conversion tracking? Yes. Without it you optimize blind and pay for clicks instead of customers. Set up GA4 conversion events, Google Ads conversion tracking, and call tracking before spending. If you cannot trace a click to a sale, you are not running ads, you are funding them.
